Therapy Services

Couples Therapy

Many couples are not stuck because they lack communication skills. They are stuck because stress takes over, old protective patterns run the show, and each person ends up reacting instead of connecting. I work with couples in Kentucky and New York who want to understand those patterns and change them.

What I help with

Betrayal, broken trust, and rupture

Recurring conflict, withdrawal, or shutdown

Emotional distance between people who still care

Caregiving, aging, illness, and other life transitions

Deciding how, and whether, to move forward together

Rebuilding closeness and intimacy over the long term

How I work

My approach, Systemic Regulation Therapy (SRT), is an integrative model I developed. It draws on emotionally focused, cognitive-behavioral, family-systems, narrative, and solution-focused methods. The core idea: when each of you can steady your own stress reactions, you can hear each other, and the pattern between you can change. We work on how you each respond under stress, how those responses set each other off, and what would make it safer to be honest and close.

What to expect

  1. A first conversation to see if we are a fit.

  2. An assessment: a joint session, plus one brief individual session with each of you.

  3. A shared plan with goals you both agree on.

  4. Regular sessions, {{weekly / length}}. Couples intensives are available in Kentucky only.

How I keep the work fair. You are both my clients. I do not keep secrets between partners, and I ask each of you about safety privately. I do not serve as a witness or evaluator in divorce or custody matters.

Good to know. This is a private-pay practice. I do not bill insurance. Fees: {{fees}}. You can request a Good Faith Estimate. Sessions are by secure video, and each of you must be physically in Kentucky or New York.

This may not be the right fit if there is ongoing violence or coercion in the relationship. If so, I will help you find better support.

I do not provide emergency services. If you are in crisis, call 911 or call or text 988.

Couples Therapy Intensives

Dedicated time for meaningful change, reconnection, and clarity

When your relationship is stuck—circling the same arguments, avoiding difficult truths, or struggling to feel close—sometimes an hour a week isn’t enough. A couples intensive gives you focused time to address the root of what’s happening between you, with space to move toward repair, insight, and connection.

Whether you’re navigating a rupture, rebuilding trust, or just feeling emotionally lost, this extended-format therapy is designed to help you do deep, honest work in a short window of time.
